Aloe Butter

Regular price $1.99

Aloe Butter is a cosmetic butter developed from the extraction of the Aloe Vera pulp using a fatty coconut fraction to produce a soft-solid butter. It is completely oil miscible and contains no preservatives or coloring agents.

Common Uses: Aloe Butter has excellent moisturizing properties and aids with the re-hydration of dry chapped skin. It is solid at room temperature and melts on contact with the skin and can be used in formulations to treat skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and sun burn. Aloe Butter is great to use on its own or can be used in a variety of skin care applications including use in lotions, creams, conditioners, body butters, soaps, and lip balms.

Recommended Usage:
Lotions & Creams: 3 - 5 %
Balms: 5 – 100 %
Bar Soaps: 3 – 5 %
Hair Conditioners: 1 – 5 %

When adding butters to creams and lotions, it might be necessary to gently warm them until the texture can be incorporated into the final product. Using a hand blender, create a vortex with your cream or lotion and drizzle your melted butter to fully incorporate. For addition in soaps, the general rule of thumb is 1 tablespoon per pound. As with most raw materials, results may vary, so we strongly recommend small, lab scale batches prior to any commercial manufacturing.

Shelf Life: Keep in cool (preferably below 25 °C) storage away from light and moisture in unopened container. Product becomes liquid above 36 °C, but will re-solidify upon cooling without affecting functionality. This butter has a shelf-life of 1 year when stored properly.
